Having eventually fallen asleep in that cave, Sonic tossed and turned restlessly. His dreams were vivid; too vivid; of what he'd said to Amy, and the hurt look he'd caught a small glimpse of in her eyes before running off. It was time she knew the truth though, because that's just how Sonic felt. So why was his subconcious torturing him with those images? The blue hedgehog awoke quite a long time later in a cold sweat. Sonic the Hedgehog. Everyone knew that name; the hero, the blue blur. He went by many nicknames. He was known for his speed; racing with the wind, breaking the sound barriar and then some. He'd made many enemies in his short life, and many friends as well. Most would expect the hero to be out on one of his adventures or racing on the wind, but that wasn't him today. No, for once in his life; Sonic was relaxing. Yes, he was relaxing; at one of his favorite hangouts on a warm, sunny summer afternoon. It was at his best friend Tails' workshop. All the windows were opened as wide as they could go and even the doors were open to let as much of the
